I got a new camera for the microscope, as the previous one that it came with had a horrible frame rate of about one frame every two seconds. Unfortunately, the new camera does not work as a generic webcam device, but, fortunately, Amscope provides pretty good software for it for Linux. That means I have to dual-boot Linux on my desktop, but I’ll survive.

As a small side-note, trying to upload large files to WordPress does not work very well with an Apache proxy server in between. Freaking reqtimeout_module ruins everything.
